Laura Trott, local MP, invites Sara Wakeling to 10 Downing Street

Laura Trott, local MP for Sevenoaks and Swanley, read the recent article about Alice’s Arc in the Sevenoaks Chronicle. She was allowed to invite a female from her constituency that inspired her and decided to ask Sara. The event was a Women’s Reception in celebration of International Women’s Day on the 8th March. It was a great opportunity to take the issue of childhood cancer to Number ten and to talk more to Laura and other female MP’s about the stories of children with cancer and ideas to help progress research and support for families impacted in the future. Boris Johnson also gave a speech on creating greater opportunities for women in the UK. It was certainly an inspiring event and Alice’s Arc was very grateful for the opportunity.
